Calm a Scared Cat

Healthy Henry Review: Pet Naturals Calming Treats for Cats

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Henry, the cute guy above, is a nervous boy. I’m sad to admit that fact, but he really, really is.

New chair? Freak out. Road trip? Freak out. Vet clinic? Mega freak.

Eventually, he comes around, but it is such a help to have something I know with total confidence that can soothe his sorrowful spirits.

This past weekend, my little dude disappeared for almost 3 days. Where? In a hole somewhere in the house. Why? He was scared of a new roommate.

Calm a Scared Cat
Calming treats especially help around stressful holidays, whether you’ve got visitors or a penchant for…costumes.

He’s traveled across the country with me (3 times!), but minor changes freak him out.

My preferred way of helping him overcome these fears and insecurities is with love, of course, and calming treats. We’ve tried 4 or 5 products, but my favorite so far has been this one.

Why is this one, Pet Naturals Calming Treats for Cats, so much better than the others? It’s gentle.

Instead of only being able to give 1 treat a day (or else he sleeps nonstop), I can give up to 3 in times of stress. That makes it easy to give a controlled amount instead of having to hope I gave the right size dose.

Sure, the other products work, and they work well. I’ve had 0 bad experiences with any of my products (and you’ll learn more about them all very soon), I really like this one.

The downside: the price.

I got 21 treats for $8 at a Big Box store, which isn’t the worst deal out there, but it’s not the best. Since you can give up to 3 treats a day, that works out to a week’s worth of treats for $8. The other brands are similar prices (or less) and can work for 3 weeks.

Still, I like this brand, and would gladly go back to it!

  1. I love your blog! But I can’t see which calming treat you prefer (maybe the pictures aren’t loading?). My husband and I are moving from Texas to Pennsylvania in August and taking our two big nervous boy tabbies with us in the truck. They will ride OK in the car, but for a long trip like this they will need some help. Can you tell me what the treats you preferred were? Thanks!

    1. Kristen, Thanks for the heads up and sorry for the delay in response! Really, ANY calming treats tend to work very well for me. Henry prefers Pet Naturals, but we’ve used a wide variety of different ones and all make a huge difference. Hope the move went well!
